Thanks to the additional end piece for your stovepipe, embers rising with the exhaust air are reliably stopped. The spark arrester is placed as a final piece on your stovepipe, and rising sparks extinguish on the metal mesh. This reduces the risk of fire and protects your shelter and environment. Additionally, the spark arrester prevents precipitation or leaves from entering from above, keeping your stovepipe clear at all times.
The spark arrester offers you further stability: Attached to the body via three eyelets, the spark arrester is fixed to the tent/tipi itself or to the ground. This gives your stovepipe even more stability and withstands strong winds.
